The Simple Future:

Positive:       S         +          will                 +          Vmaino

Negative:     S          +          will     +          not      +          Vmaino

Interrogative:

             Yes/No Question:

Will       +       S         +          Vmaino … ?

   W-H Question:

W-H        +     will      +     S    +    Vmaino     … ?

Example:

I will go to school tomorrow.

I won’t go to school tomorrow. (will not = won’t)

Will you go to school tomorrow?

Where will you go tomorrow?

The Simple Future:

An action will happen in the future.

If “can, should, must,…” appears in a future sentence, we don’t use “will”.

Example:

I will go to school tomorrow

I should go to school tomorrow.

Time words for The Simple Future:

  • Next

Next year             next 2 years

Next month       next 2 months

Example: I will become a teacher next year.

  • In, on + time word in future

In 2050           in summer

on Sunday      on September

Example: I will go to the supermarket on Sunday.

  • Tomorrow

Example: I will go to the supermarket tomorrow.

 

Specific Situation:

Be going to” is also used to express a prediction, a plan in the future.

Example: I’m going to make a trip to Hawaii next summer.
